I was planning a trip to New Mexico for a conference.  This notice was on the airline’s website:

NOTICE FOR ALL TRAVELERS: Effective September 4, any individual traveling to New Mexico from states deemed high-risk based on COVID-positivity rates will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days from the date of their entry into New Mexico or for the duration of their stay in the state, whichever is shorter.  In addition, persons who are employed or contracted by an essential business traveling into the state to conduct business activities…do not have to quarantine for 14 days or for the duration of their time in the state.

I had to read this multiple times.  So, quarantine for 14 days if you’re on vacation, but don’t quarantine if you’re on business, because, everyone knows, vacationers spread the virus, but business people don’t.

My prayer is that people will see through this nonsense.

My mother died on 8/17/20.  I thank God that I am surrounded by the church and loving friends.  The Bible says that when one member of the body suffers, all suffer.  A deep, heartfelt ‘thank you’ to the body – you know who you are.  May God continue to richly bless you.  In memory of Fern Benesch:  9/17/32 – 8/17/20.

In the town I live in, there is currently a testing scam going on.  If it’s happening here, you can be sure it’s happening elsewhere.  The scam goes like this:  a person goes to a testing site to be tested for corona virus.  He fills out the paperwork, is told it will be a 2-3 hour wait, and decides to leave and come back later to be tested.  Two days later he gets a phone call telling him his test results are back, and he has tested positive for the virus, even though he was never tested.  This scam is running rampant in Nebraska.  The Bible says:  A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall not escape (Proverbs 19:5).  I pray that all the liars will be exposed, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Joe Biden has said he wishes the Quran was taught in public schools.  This is what the Quran says:  “If you fear high-handedness from your wives, remind them of the teachings of God, then ignore them in bed, then hit them (Women, sura 34).  Those who wage war against God and His messenger (Mohammed) and strive to spread corruption in the land should be punished by death, crucifixion, the amputation of an alternate hand and foot… (The Feast, sura 33).  Let harm be requited by an equal harm… (Consultation, sura 40).”  May God help Joe Biden and those who believe in him.
